Hey. I’m Lori.

I’ve worked the floor, the field, and the front office.

Forklifts. Scaffolding. Warehouses. Safety meetings. Team leadership. Compliance reports. Customer calls. The whole mix.

I’m not guessing how blue-collar businesses run. I’ve been inside them.

I’ve seen what happens when skilled owners build something solid — but the backend never gets the same attention as the craft. The work is excellent. The operation? Held together by memory, sticky notes, and long nights.

That’s where I come in.

-Why I Built Dark Horse Business Solutions LLC-

Because good operators deserve tight operations.

You shouldn’t have to be the estimator, project manager, bookkeeper, compliance officer, and admin desk after a 10-hour day.

You should be leading.

Dark Horse exists to handle the parts of your business that keep it stable, profitable, and protected — without turning it into some corporate circus.

Business management.
Admin support.
Bookkeeping.
Safety & compliance.

Clean systems. Clear numbers. Real control.

- What I Believe -

Hard work builds a business. Structure keeps it alive.

You don’t need corporate fluff. You need execution.

Your expertise is the asset, not something to replace.

A solid operation gives you leverage, not more work.

- What Matters to Me -

Freedom.

Not the Instagram kind. The real kind. The kind where your business makes money without owning every waking hour of your life.

Adventure.

I lean into challenges instead of backing away from them. Business growth isn’t smooth pavement, it’s curves and weather and grit. I’m comfortable there.

Community.

Crews matter. Families matter. The people behind the work matter. I’ve lead teams, supported military families, and shown up when it counted. No one builds anything worth building alone.

Service.

No ego. No corporate theater. Just solid work, done right, with follow-through.

- How I Work -

Direct. Clear. No hand-holding.

I don’t talk theory for months.

I assess, prioritize, and execute.

You stay in charge. Your backend gets tighter. Your business runs cleaner.

That’s the goal.

Off the Clock

When I’m not working, I’m usually outside. Some days you’ll find me riding motorcycles, road-tripping, or chasing the sun and waves.

Other days, you’ll find me making hard cider from scratch, wrenching, hammering, trimming, or on the tractor. I like building things with my hands and seeing the results of real effort.

That mindset carries into my work. I value discipline, follow-through, and doing things right the first time. Whether working on a machine, a process, or a set of books, I don’t leave things half-done.

My Background (The Receipts)

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – earned while working full-time and raising a family.

CINA-Certified Apprentice Cider Maker – because I believe in understanding the industries I work with, not just advising them.

Decades of hands-on experience in operations, compliance, logistics, leadership, safety, and management roles across manufacturing and field environments.

Former Family Readiness Group Leader supporting military families during deployment.

If it needed doing, I’ve done it.
